Bouchillon practiced in his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi, until moving to Florida in 1994. He has been practicing law in Polk County since 1999, primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, construction law, trucking law, and personal injury.
Mr. Bouchillon is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the Northern, Middle and Southern Federal Districts of Florida, as well as in the State of Mississippi. He has argued appeals before the Second District Court of Appeals in Lakeland and the Third District Court of Appeals in Miami.
Mr. Bouchillon is a member of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Willson American Inns of Court. He has lectured on the subject of the admissibility of expert evidence in state and federal courts. He also volunteers as a Magistrate in the Polk County Teen Court, which offers first-time teen offenders an opportunity to be judged by their peers, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Bartow/Fort Meade Unit of the American Cancer Society. Mr. Bouchillon is an AV Rated rated lawyer, the highest rating established by Martindale Hubbel, the agency which provides attorneys' ratings throughout the United States.
Mr. Bouchillon lives in Bartow, Florida, with his wife, Debra, and their daughter, Rachel, who is a student at Bartow High School's pre-International Baccalaureate program.
